The Global Biodiversity Standard (TGBS), an emerging assessment framework for certifying the biodiversity impact of land management projects, has recently launched. TGBS creates a standardized process for fostering resilient ecosystems and elevating the value and longevity of carbon projects.

In Nairobi, account manager Margreet and trainee Anne led a vital workshop aimed at expanding Kenya’s agroforestry efforts. With the country’s rich soils and stable climate, the goal was to bring eight local partners together to drive collaboration and set a clear path for growth – creating a scaling plan that aims to support 1.5 to 2 million Kenyan farmers.

After extensive planting in Kenya, it was finally time for harvesting. In other words: celebrating the first payout for smallholder farmers, facilitated by our local partners Trees for Kenya and Farm Africa. Our account manager Margreet and trainee Anne witnessed this wonderful moment of celebration in the town of Embu.

In Kagera, an administrative region in north-west Tanzania, our local partner Kaderes is making sure farmers get paid fairly for their Acorn efforts — not just when it comes to how much, but also when it comes to how.
