Through sharing valuable insights from our projects, Acorn has supported Work and Opportunities for Women (WOW) and UK Aid in the publication of a new guide aimed at empowering women in agroforestry carbon projects.

Acorn teams up with Corus International, through its subsidiary Lutheran World Relief (LWR), to propose an ambitious agroforestry campaign in Peru aimed at expanding the voluntary carbon market (VCM) in South America.

In Nairobi, account manager Margreet and trainee Anne led a vital workshop aimed at expanding Kenya’s agroforestry efforts. With the country’s rich soils and stable climate, the goal was to bring eight local partners together to drive collaboration and set a clear path for growth – creating a scaling plan that aims to support 1.5 to 2 million Kenyan farmers.

After extensive planting in Kenya, it was finally time for harvesting. In other words: celebrating the first payout for smallholder farmers, facilitated by our local partners Trees for Kenya and Farm Africa.
