For Data Collectors

Data Collectors (DCs) are responsible for physically visiting farmers and collecting their data using the Android app. The app allows them to see pre-assigned farmers or onboard new farmers from scratch. Importantly, they can work offline, syncing their data once they have access to the internet again.

Which phones are compatible with DCT?

The Data Collection Tool App is compatible with devices that meet the following minimum criteria:

Specifications

  • Access to the Google Play Store

  • Preferably Android 10 or higher, but android 8+ minimum

  • 4000 mAh battery

  • Recommended minimum of 2GB RAM

For brands such as Huawei, Motorola, Xiaomi, Infinix, and Tecno, we recommend purchasing one device initially to verify app compatibility.
