Welcome to the Acorn Data Collection Tool

At Acorn, we're passionate about empowering smallholder farmers in developing countries. That's why we've created DCT - a system designed to efficiently collect farmer data with the help of local organizations. Find resources you may need here.

How does it work?

When a local organization agrees to participate in the Acorn program, they start onboarding into our system. The local partner will then start recruiting Enumerators (henceforth: Data Collectors) that physically visit the farmers to gather their data.

We require personal, geographic (coordinates), and crop data. Other teams within Acorn use that data to calculate exactly how much each farmer contributes to carbon removal. The data evidence of that biomass increase is what we use to generate certificates that are then sold to companies that have inevitable carbon offset. For more information see our website
